Shipping containers are delivered by truck. Before unloading, make sure there's enough space for the truck to drop off the container. Twenty years ago, shipping containers were not easily attainable for the average person. Nowadays, you can buy a container from Blairworx and have it delivered right to your business or home on the same day. A Reliable Long-Term Investment

At first, renting a storage unit might seem like a simpler and cheaper option because there aren't many costs upfront. When you own a shipping container, you pay once instead of making regular rental payments that can add up over time.

One of the best things about having your own storage container is how flexible it is. Unlike traditional storage units that are stuck in one place, a container from Blairworx can be set up exactly where you want it. This makes it very easy to access your goods when you need them. This feature is especially helpful for business owners who need to grab their items often or need storage closer to their storefront or office.

NEW ORLEANS, La. – A soft, pearly fog hangs over the Crescent City this morning, blurring streetlights and slowing traffic along I-10 and the Causeway. The air feels heavy and warm now, but a sharp drop in temperatures is waiting just up the Mississippi River Valley — the kind that turns the air brisk and reminds Louisiana that fall still has bite.

According to the National Weather Service in New Orleans, areas of patchy fog will linger through sunrise, with visibility near a mile in spots. Skies clear quickly today as highs climb into the lower 80s. By Sunday, cooler air begins filtering south behind a front sweeping through the Mid-South, dropping highs into the low 70s before a steady cold snap takes hold Monday.

Residents should plan for the most noticeable chill of the season so far. North winds Monday could gust up to 25 mph, with morning lows near 40° across the Northshore and upper 30s possible north of Baton Rouge. While no freeze concerns are expected near the coast, gardeners farther inland should monitor plants and plumbing early next week.

Veterans Day will feel crisp but comfortable, with bright sunshine and highs near 60°. It’s ideal parade weather — jackets in the morning, short sleeves by midday. To be fair, this stretch isn’t winter yet, but it’s a clear early sign of seasonal transition. Long-range models hint that another stronger cold push may follow mid-month, hinting at a deeper Thanksgiving-season chill for the Gulf Coast.

Five-Day Forecast for New Orleans, LA:Sat: 81/64 – Patchy fog early; mostly sunny and warm.Sun: 71/43 – Breezy and cooler; clearing skies.Mon: 55/39 – Sunny; fall chill settles in.Tue: 61/50 – Bright and crisp for Veterans Day.Wed: 73/58 – Milder and sunny; light winds.

Minutes before the NFL's 3 p.m. trade deadline Tuesday, the New Orleans Saints agreed to trade Trevor Penning to the Los Angeles Chargers, according to a league source.

The Saints are receiving a future draft pick in return for Penning from the Chargers, who have already lost both of their starting offensive tackles to injury this season. New Orleans ultimately made two trades prior to the deadline, shipping Rashid Shaheed to the Seahawks earlier in the day.

Now in his fourth season, Penning was on his third position with the Saints, having operated as the team's starting left guard for most of the season. It was not remotely what the Saints envisioned when they drafted him.

The Saints selected Penning in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft with hopes that he would become a franchise left tackle, but for various reasons that did not happen.

Penning suffered a turf toe injury that derailed nearly his entire rookie season. He made one start in 2022, the season finale, and suffered a Lisfranc injury that forced him to spend much of the following offseason in rehabilitation.

New Orleans trotted Penning back out as their starting left tackle in 2023, but he struggled mightily in the role and was banished to the bench before the season reached its midway point.

He appeared to find some stability last season after switching to right tackle after New Orleans drafted Taliese Fuaga, then embraced a move to offensive guard this offseason after the Saints spent another first-round pick on Kelvin Banks Jr.

While the Saints have maintained throughout they've been pleased with Penning's development as a guard, his play still left something to be desired.

Penning once again dealt with a turf toe injury during training camp, this one sidelining him for the first three games of the season. Upon his return, Penning's most notable contribution to the offense came in the form of penalties, with three holding penalties and one false start in his six games.

After the Saints declined to pick up his fifth-year option this offseason, Penning was set to become an unrestricted free agent next March.

As expected, the LA Rams hardly met any resistance during their week 9 match-up against the now 1-8 New Orleans Saints. Even though the Horns missed a week of action due to their week 8 bye, their momentum resumed effortlessly, never skipping a beat as Stafford led the offense on a full-on assault in front of the lively home crowd.

On their very first drive, the Horns progressed the chains at their command, easily dissecting a battered New Orleans defense missing several pieces in the secondary. Stafford found Tyler Higbee in the red zone with a 1-yard flick that resulted in the first score of the game, giving LA an early 7-0 lead thanks to the extra point from Joshua Karty. The Saints were limited to punts the rest of the quarter, applying zero pressure to the Rams’ defense.

Straight into the second, the Rams continued their scoring bombardment, with Davante Adams hauling in a 3-yard short pass in the end zone, further mounting LA’s lead, though Karty’s extra-point attempt was a bit wide left, leaving the score 13-0. The Saints’ next drive wasn’t completely empty-handed, though, with kicker Blake Grupe making a routine 39-yard field goal to give New Orleans three onto the scoreboard. In response, Stafford once again took charge, launching a 39-yard dot to Puka Nacua for his third touchdown of the night.

Karty redeemed himself with the made an extra point this time around, setting the score at 20-3. However, on their next drive, Karty missed once again, this time on a 39-yard field goal. The error seemed to spark a bit of a resurgence in the Saints’ offense, with QB Tyler Shough throwing an 11-yard pass to TE Juwan Johnson for their first and only touchdown of the night, improving the score to 20-10 at halftime.

The Rams’ initial drive to kick off the third was a bit unusual, with the offensive effort stretching over 16 plays that commandeered a majority of the quarter. But it proved successful in the long run thanks to Stafford’s fourth TD, once again finding Davante Adams on a 4-yard dime, making the score 27-10 into the fourth.

Despite the massive lead, LA’s aggression didn’t let up—Kyren Williams was able to partake in the scoring action with a trivial 1-yard goal line touchdown to further boost the score to 34-10. Eventually, the Rams’ defense was able to seal the deal with a late-game interception at the hands of cornerback Emmanuel Forbes Jr., concluding the match and cementing the Rams’ freshly earned 6-2 record.

There were a lot of good takeaways from week 9’s powerful performance. Even though it wasn’t the toughest of opponents by any means, it’s nice to see the boys in blue and gold back to dominating the gridiron. Stafford’s masterful game finished with a stat line of 281 passing yards and 4 touchdowns on 24-32 pass attempts, while Davante gave us an efficient 60 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns on only 5 catches. Puka also shone thanks to 95 receiving yards and 1 touchdown on 7 catches, though we’re certain he would’ve had more if he hadn’t headed to the locker room for a brief period after a minor injury concern. Tyler Higbee’s 13 receiving yards and 1 touchdown on 3 catches, along with Kyren Williams’ 114 rushing yards and 1 touchdown on 25 carries, also made massive impacts during the game.

In week 10 on Sunday, the Rams will line up against the San Francisco 49ers once again in another crucial divisional game that will surely shake up the NFC West standings. We’ll see if LA can redeem their earlier seasonal loss dealt by the hands of Mac Jones and Christian McCaffrey, and do so on enemy turf.

While the rest of America dusts off their Ugg boots and flannel and enjoys pumpkin spice lattes, fall in New Orleans is still pretty warm — and a perfect time to eat a sno-ball.

Summer may technically be over, but hurricanes are still brewing, and I'm still sweating on my daily walk to work. And with many sno-ball stands preparing to limit hours or close in the upcoming weeks, I thought it to be the perfect time to try my first sno-ball as a New Orleans resident.

Even though I've lived here for nearly two years, I did not take advantage of my first sno-ball season and felt it was a disservice to myself and the community.

So I did my research: Which stands are iconic? Which have unique flavors? Which sell the classics? Which are the new favorites? And where do locals go?

I decided I should try a newer spot that's getting lots of accolades online. So I wandered down to the Bywater to give Chance in Hell Snoballs a taste.

Despite it being a Sunday afternoon, the line was out the door, but I took it as a good sign and looked at the flavor options on a marker board outside.

Chance In Hell started as a pop-up before moving into a permanent space at 805 Louisa St. All of the flavors are small-batch and rotate regularly.

A lot of folks in line had ordered the Ube with condensed milk and the sour watermelon. But I saw fresh grape and cotton candy on the list, and knew I wanted to try one or the other.

Lou at the counter suggested I do half and half to get the best of both worlds. And she was indeed correct.

I watched as she filled a small cup — with their devilish logo — to the top with ice. Then, she added the house-made syrup.

The cup gets a topper of ice, and then holes are poked to make sure a second round of syrup fills every nook and cranny.

The blue and purple concoction looked like a cloudy sunset, and the pillowy ice was a heavenly texture. The grape did not taste artificial, and the cotton candy had the perfect balance of sweetness.

For $6, the small option went down the hatch quickly, but it wasn't overly sugary or heavy.

In comparison to the brightly colored, icy sno-balls I've had in other cities, this one was muted, filled with flavor and oh so fluffy.

I would rank Chance in Hell 10 out of 10.

Which sno-ball stand should I try next? Email me at justin.mitchell@theadvocate.com and let me know!
